These first images
show planting of grass along the bank. The last two below, from
Thanksgiving of 2003, show the results as the grass has taken
hold. Erosion of the bank has virtually stopped here. |

Plastic sheeting
has been applied to prevent more erosion until the cord grass
can take hold. It will be removed later. |

or sheetpile wall the grass has become a habitat for wildlife. |

At low tide you
can see that the root system has taken hold. Otherwise, these
plants would be washed away after a year. |
